Power is at the heart: With a reliable brand like Miele, you can expect great result time after time with the Complete C3 Vacuum Cleaner.

Six power settings let you choose the perfect cleaning mode best suited to the task at hand. Combined with 1200 W of power, you can enjoy more efficient suction on carpets and hard floors.
Thanks to the 4.5 litre HyClean 3D dustbag, you’ll be able to clean the house several times before needing to change it. There is also a handy indicator which informs you of when it’s time to replace the bag.
Keeping your home clean
The C3 Cat & Dog is perfect for pet owners as the Active Air Clean charcoal filter is specifically designed to absorb pet smells and bad odours. The included turbo brush gives your carpets a thorough, deep clean to remove stubborn pet hair and dirt.
Miele’s EcoTeQ floorhead also gives you the performance of 2000 W for extra suction power.
Easy-to-use push button controls mean you can avoid bending down to adjust the power, while the generous 11-metre operating radius lets you clean large areas of your home without having to switch sockets.
With impressive power and handy onboard accessories, choose the Miele Complete C3 Cat & Dog PowerLine Cylinder Vacuum Cleaner for results you can rely on.
The Miele Complete C3 cleaner is your all-in-one cylinder pet friendly vacuum. Out of the box the Miele C3 sports an all-gloss cherry red paint job. While not as small as some of the cylinder cleaners on the market today, the Miele C3 is still fairly compact measuring just 32 x 59 x 38 cm and weighing just 5.4KGs overall.
The Miele Complete C3 while primarily marketed with a pet ownership scenario, can be adapted to any household environment where thorough cleaning pickup is needed. As such the Miele Complete C3 package is overloaded with plenty of accessory goodness. No less than three floor brushes are included in the package as standard. The hardwood floor brush: With high-quality, robust synthetic fibres brush even the finest dust from deep crevices and gaps – ideal for thorough cleaning of hard-wearing tiled and textured hard floors. The Turbo-brush STB 205-3: The roller brush of the Miele turbo-brush, which is powered by the suction system, removes dirt effectively from carpets. Featuring a air valve, you are free to control the suction that is powered by the current of air and does not require a separate connection. The EcoTeQ floor-head: The unique and well designed EcoTeQ floor-head, the C3 replicates the performance of 2000w vacuum cleaner whilst only using a maximum of 1200w. This will help lower your household energy consumption whilst achieving optimum cleaning results. The EcoTeQ floor head has a 10% higher dust pickup than our standard one, and with an additional turbo brush, this vacuum cleaner is ideal for picking up pet hairs in your home.
Unlike traditional/other cylinder cleaners, the other smaller accessories are concealed on the unit itself, which should mean no more searching around for your necessary cleaning tool. Underneath a buttoned trap door on the front of the unit is your upholstery, crevice and dusting attachments. Alongside your flexible hose, also in the shipment box is an extendable metal tube, allowing you to reach further for comfort and ease of cleaning. Miele has developed many clever technologies to make floor care as easy as possible for you. For example the practical locking system. Floor-head, suction tube and handle lock into each other with an audible fit. For safe connection of vacuuming accessories.
If you’ve ever been the victim of the dreaded static shock syndrome when hoovering, you’ll know just how painful and ‘shocking’ it can be. Miele’s nifty little implementations that are so often overlooked ensure your cleaning duties are as stress free as possible. Employing a small metal strip integrated into the handle, which works like a lightning conductor, static shocks are a thing of the past preventing static discharge between appliance and user.
While everyone raves about bag-less cleaners and think that the way forward is to have your dust canister naked, the Miele Complete C3 steps out of the bag-less box and is of the bagged variety. I hear many people cringing with the cleanup process, however things have changed somewhat since the days of paper hoover bags. The Miele Complete C3 features fleece woven bags that present nine layers of filtration alongside a unique key and lock system. With several filter layers (fine) dust that has been vacuumed up cannot escape into the room air. There is a handy indicator which informs you of when it’s time to replace the bag. When the dust compartment door is opened the bag closes automatically to prevent dust from escaping when the bag is being replaced. The Miele bags themselves are marketed as featuring 3D efficiency. The bag side-folds ensure the whole of the bag is inflated when in use. This equates to an additional 20 per cent more than the previous design. The dust bags themselves have a fairly large capacity of 4.5L, ensuring you infrequently have to carry out the emptying process.
The Miele AirClean filter system, consisting of a genuine Miele dust-bag, motor protection filter and AirClean exhaust filter, ensures maximum hygiene. The amount of fine dust in room air is significantly reduced: The interaction of all the components guarantees the filtration of more than 99.9% of the fine dust. The discharged air is actually cleaner than normal room air with a HEPA AirClean filter. The Miele Complete C3 features a Active Air Clean charcoal filter that is specifically designed to absorb pet smells and bad odours. In addition the AirClean filter has a built-in time strip that will tell you when it is ready to be changed.
At the front/top of the unit there are several icons, not just for show, the Miele has 6 power levels that are fully adjustable. Sitting on either end of your icon LED’s is your + and – foot operated buttons that allow you to seamlessly chop and change between suction power – ideal when certain levels of power need to be adjusted. The ‘Curtain’ icon (alongside the words Min) represents the lowest suction power and as the icon would suggest is ideal for vacuuming soft furnishings. At the other end of the spectrum is the highest suction setting that is represented by the ‘Carpet’ icon and again features a worded power indicator: Max.
Sitting underneath the ‘power settings’ icons/LED’s/buttons is your power button and your comfort button. Both the Power and comfort button are of the larger variety to allow foot operation instead of having to bend down to initiate. The comfort button is your cord rewind function. The cord itself measures 7.5m (26ft) in length meaning you have to un-plug less so you have the convenience of being able to get on with the cleaning – gone are the stop/start scenarios. In addition the overall operating radius measures 11m – a whopping 36ft.
The EU’s Eco-design and Energy Labeling regulations apply to all new mains-powered vacuum cleaners from 2014. In order to comply with the regulations, vacuum cleaners must meet specific performance criteria, including energy efficiency, noise levels, pick-up performance, filtration, and input power (now capped at 1600w). The Miele Complete C3 is rated as having an Eco rating of D. The Miele Complete C3 is rated B for filtration, rated B for for dust collection effectiveness on carpeted areas and A rated for debris collection on hard/tiled floors. The overall sound output is rated as being 73dB, this down to the sound-optimised motor and integrated insulation.
The Miele Complete C3 Cat&Dog is your all-in-one bagged cylinder solution for getting rid of stubborn pet hairs while maintaining clean smelling air. The small and nifty design ideas adapted means that the Miele Complete C3 stands out miles from the crowd. From the concealed on-board tools to the front LED’s power indicators, everything about the Miele Complete C3 screams convenience and quality. The ‘Parking’ system works well both from a usage point of view and when it comes to storage. With two-points of park available, the Miele is both versatile as it is unique.
In our real world tests the Miele Complete C3 handled our Shar-pei hairs and stray Royal Canin kibble with ease. The turbo brush makes short work of embedded hairs, making carpeted areas look like new. It’s only when checking the bag contents that you realise just how much dust/debris is lifted during the cleaning process!! In turn you are alerted to just how much is left behind by the less superior vacuum cleaners. When our Shar-pei boy was going through his worst shedding weeks (which we are thankfully just getting over), the only solution we found that helped was a rubber broom. As you can imagine this was no only very time consuming, it was also very hard work. The Miele Complete C3 handled it wonderfully, and with little effort. In use the Turbo Brush appears to move forwards on it own, which obviously reduces effort needed to push it along and thus greatly reduces cleaning time.
Specifications wise, we found the noise output to vary slightly from that advertised. While still on par with other vacuum cleaners, our results were slightly higher than those advertised. From the lowest setting through to the highest we got the following dB ratings: (1)Lowest: 74dB, (2): 76dB (3): 79dB (4): 81dB (5): 82dB (6)Maximum: 83dB.
With German engineering at the forefront, the Miele proves it can stand up to and excel against it’s bag-less competitors. Throwing caution to the wind, the innovative touches here and there make the Miele a unique piece of cleaning gadgetry. Performance wise, the Miele Complete C3 is an all-round and versatile piece of equipment that you’d be hard pushed to find better. While we loved the everything but the kitchen sink accessory inclusion in the package, it left us in a quandary of where to store all these additional and rather bulky floor-brushes. Nonetheless and as a package, the Miele Complete C3 is very comprehensive and when you consider the price of each accessory (also available to purchase separately) it’s hard to believe that for £270 you get them all included as standard. No one could ever accuse Miele of being shy with their accessories, as they’ve thrown everything at the Complete C3 and it shows in the performance/package. Kudos to Miele..and a highly recommended from the Daily Reviews crew, you’d be hard pushed to get a more comprehensive package anywhere else!!
